               New Appointments at Park Group


Christopher Houghton, 41, has been appointed to the  board  of
Park  Group  plc as finance director designate to succeed  the
current  finance  director  Neil  Alexander  when  the  latter
retires in the course of the next twelve months.  A Fellow  of
the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Mr Houghton
joined  Park  Group as group accountant in 1986, became  Group
Financial  Controller  in 1990 and Finance  Director  of  Park
Direct Credit, a subsidiary company, in November 1999.

Meanwhile,  James  Evans, 54, has succeeded  Mr  Alexander  as
Company  Secretary.   Mr.  Evans, a Fellow  of  the  Chartered
Institute of Secretaries, joined the company in 1980  and  had
been assistant secretary since 1983.

Commenting,  Peter Johnson, executive chairman, said:   "These
appointments form part of the rebuilding process at Park Group
and  will  be  followed  by others. both  executive  and  non-
executive, in due course."

At  the  company's Annual General Meeting on 26  September  Mr
Johnson  stated that steps were being taken to strengthen  the
board  and added that he was convinced significant costs could
be taken out of the business without harming revenue.
