                           Cancellation of Admission







On 25 March 2008, Fairfax I.S. plc announced that the offer by TSC Offshore
Group for the whole of the ordinary share capital of Global Marine Energy plc ("
GME" or the "Company") had been declared unconditional in all respects and that
application would be made to the London Stock Exchange for the cancellation of
the admission of, and trading in, GME shares on AIM.



The Company confirms that such application has now been made.  The notice period
of 20 business days relating to such cancellation will commence on today's date
and it is anticipated that cancellation will take place on 1 May 2008.





Important Notice to GME Shareholders



GME shareholders are advised that upon cancellation of GME's admission to
trading on AIM, it would significantly reduce the liquidity and marketability of
any GME Shares not assented to the Offer at that time and the value of any such
GME shares may be adversely affected as a consequence.



Consequently, GME shareholders who have not yet accepted the Offer are urged to
complete and return the Form of Acceptance without delay.



GME Shareholders who have lost their Form of Acceptance or have any other
queries in connection with the Offer should  contact Capita Registrars by
