Placing, Total Voting Rights and Name Change to Aerte Group PLC

PLACING

Mid-States, the leading environmental technology group, is pleased to announce that the special resolution proposed at the Company's General Meeting held earlier today relating to the placing of 122,269,051 new ordinary shares ("Placing Shares") was duly passed by shareholders (the "Placing").

As a result, the Placing announced on 25 October 2011, raising GBP1,834,036 (before expenses), has now been completed. It is expected that Admission will become effective and dealings in the 122,269,051 Placing Shares will commence on AIM at 8:00 am on 17 November 2011. The Placing Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the Company's existing issued ordinary shares.

TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS

Following completion of the Placing the Company will have a total of 383,172,890 ordinary shares in issue. This figure (383,172,890) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

NAME CHANGE

As previously notified, the name of the Company has been changed from Mid-States PLC to Aerte Group PLC with immediate effect. This reflects the more internationally recognisable brand "Aerte" under which the Group's products are now sold.

From tomorrow the Company's ordinary shares will trade on AIM under the TIDM "AER". The ISIN and SEDOL code will remain unchanged as GB0002683034 and 0268303 respectively.
