Reinhold Industries Receives Contract for Minuteman III Components SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif., March 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Reinhold Industries, Inc. of Santa Fe Springs, California, today announced that the Company has received contracts worth $11.3 million from ATK Thiokol Propulsion, Promontory, Utah, for components related to the Air Force's Minuteman III Propulsion Replacement Program ("PRP"). ATK Thiokol Propulsion is an operating unit of Alliant Techsystems Inc. "This order representsthe 3rd annual award to Reinhold of full rate production for this program," said Michael T. Furry, President and CEO of Reinhold. "The PRP schedule continues to be on track as planned back in the late 1980's. We are excited that the Company has been given the opportunity to participate with ATK Thiokol in this high visibility program." The PRP replaces the stage 1, 2 and 3 solid rocket motors in the Minuteman III force with new remanufactured motors to maintain the alert readiness status of the force through 2020. The PRP is being managed by Northrop Grumman; the prime integration contractor for the ICBM force. Under contract to Northrop, ATK Thiokol and Pratt & Whitney's ("P&W") Space and Missile Propulsion formed a joint-venture team to produce the motors. ATK Thiokol and P&W are remanufacturing the motors, and replacing the propellant and obsolete or unsafe materials and components. The contract award represents components for deliveries through January 2005. Based on expected full rateproduction on this program, the potential value to the Company is estimated to be an additional $55 million through 2008.
