HALIFAX, Aug. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Clarke Inc. (TSX: CKI CKI.DB.A) announced today the cancellation of its upcoming meeting (the "Meeting") of holders ("Debentureholders") of its 6.00% convertible unsecured subordinated debentures due December 31, 2013 ("Debentures") that was scheduled to be held on August 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. (Atlantic Daylight Time) to consider certain proposed amendments to the Debentures. Although the majority of Debentureholders who delivered proxies in respect of the Meeting voted in favour of the proposed amendments, Clarke did not obtain the required two-thirds approval to pass the proposed amendments to the Debentures. Clarke Inc. would like to take this opportunity to thank all those Debentureholders who voted on the proposed amendments.
