Spirent Communications PLC (SPT.LN), a communications technology company, said Thursday revenue for the third quarter fell slightly to GBP63.1 million, from GBP64.8 million a year earlier, adding that its trading performance for the period since June 28 to date is in line with the Board's expectations.

-During third quarter Co has seen a return to market stability and has increased profitability.

-outlook for the fourth quarter is positive.

-Continues to deliver new, innovative, market leading test solutions.

-Spirent is well placed to capitalise on any recovery in end markets in 2010.

-Third quarter operating profit rises to GBP13.6 million, from GBP11.7 million.

-Basic earnings per share 1.69 pence, compared with 1.53 pence.
