Ophthalmic Goods Manufacturing startups Bon Vivant Safety
Eyewear Company, Inc. and Tioga Optical Lab QOZB, LLC, founded by
Anthony B. Miles, US Navy Trident Nuclear Submarine Force Veteran
and Dr. Chelise Firmin, Optometrist, has secured $830,000 in seed
funding for the joint venture LENSRXLAB to develop two B2B
Healthcare Delivery Platforms and a proprietary Advanced Lens
Technology for Diabetics.
Now the duo collectively seeks to raise $3.1 million. The funds
will be used to go to market with their two B2B Healthcare Delivery
Platforms at scale, production of inventory, hiring key staff and
equity toward the build-out and automated production equipment for
its 18,629-sf ground-up manufacturing facility to be built adjacent
to Temple University Health Sciences Campus in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania to service all 48 U.S. States–Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S.
territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, U.S.
Virgin Islands and American Samoa).
Their B2B offerings include LENSRXLAB’s groundbreaking online
Supplemental Vision Benefits Platform for Diabetics. Tailored for
Hospitals and Medical Clinics, Health Insurance Companies,
Corporate Employers, Military/Veteran Organizations, Diabetic Care
Centers, Health Programs, and Others, LENSRXLAB offers a new
approach with its comprehensive all-in-one single vision, bifocal
and progressive diabetic eyewear packages, ensuring accessibility
for patients, service members, veterans, beneficiaries, and
employees.
One new innovation by the duo is DiaVista, a proprietary
advanced lens technology powered by Nirtech® with 7 lights with UV
+ IR protection to be offered through both LENSRXLAB B2B platforms
and globally through strategic partners.
"Our all-in-one diabetic packages represent a holistic approach
to vision care, addressing not just visual needs but also
prioritizing the medical aspects of diabetic eye health. By
integrating advanced technologies and medical-grade materials, we
aim to provide comprehensive solutions that promote eye wellness
and enhance quality of life for individuals, men, women, and
children managing diabetes," said Dr. Chelise Firmin, Optometrist,
Founder of LENSRXLAB.
LENSRXLAB is also planning to expand its offerings with new
products, services, and programs, including The DiaVista Gift
Voucher Pilot Program for Diabetic Vision Equity. This program’s
annual goal, with the support of corporate sponsors and donors, is
to provide fully subsidized, specialized prescription diabetic
eyewear packages with its proprietary DiaVista Advanced Lens
Technology to over 20,000 low-income individuals, seniors, and
veterans.
Additionally, we plan to introduce an advanced Computer Lens
featuring blue light blocking technology to prevent eye strain from
everyday digital devices. With 99% light transmission and 99%
blocking of HEV radiation, along with 91% blocking of infrared
radiation, this lens aims to enhance visual comfort and protect eye
health in our increasingly digital world.
Furthermore, we are launching an animated cartoon series called
LENS LEGENDS, weaving together elements of adventure, humor, and
education to entertain audiences of all ages while addressing
various social determinants of health.
With the infusion of $3.1 million in funding, LENSRXLAB is
poised for remarkable growth and innovation in the diabetic vision
care sector. By leveraging this funding to enhance its offerings,
expand its reach, and build out its future ophthalmic goods
manufacturing facility, LENSRXLAB is primed to revolutionize
diabetic eyewear, empowering individuals to manage diabetes with
cutting-edge technology and comprehensive vision care.
