D. Ryan Cordell Jr. recognized as the future of the legal profession

Hicks Thomas attorney D. Ryan Cordell Jr. has been named to the 2024 Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation, a guide to the country’s “future leaders of the law.”

According to Lawdragon, attorneys named to the 500 X – The Next Generation “represent more than 200 law firms, each stronger for the talent, the vision, the hope these lawyers bring.”

This is Mr. Cordell’s second year to be recognized for his work in commercial litigation, mass torts and personal injury.

His work at Hicks Thomas includes cases involving contract disputes, tortious business conduct, trade secret misappropriation and intellectual property infringement. Mr. Cordell graduated cum laude from Tulane University Law School with a certificate in environmental law. He also received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University.

“Ryan is an important member of our team,” said Hicks Thomas partner John B. Thomas. “We are very proud of the work he does for our firm and our clients, and I am so happy to see him recognized.”

Lawdragon’s 500 X honorees for 2024 were selected through nominations, independent research and peer recommendations. The majority of this year’s honorees have been in practice between seven and 15 years and have proven themselves early in private practice by "accruing credentials, deals and cases early and often,” Lawdragon says.
