PILAT TECHNOLOGIES INTERNATIONAL LTD

APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN

The Board of Directors of Pilat Technologies International Ltd ("PTI")
announces that Mr. Avi Engel has notified the board that his pressing duties as
the CEO of Pilat Media Global PLC will prevent him from devoting sufficient
time in as chairman of PTI. The Board has regretfully accepted his resignation
as Chairman of PTI, but is pleased that he will continue to contribute his
experience as a non-executive director.

The Board is pleased that Prof. Igal Ayal, who has been a member of the Board
of PTI for the past four years, has agreed to replace Mr. Engel as Chairman of
PTI's Board.

Prof. Ayal combines extensive business and academic experience.

On the business side, Prof. Ayal has over 35 years of experience as a senior
consultant to top management of large and small firms and public organizations,
from diverse industries in Israel and abroad, as well as to government
agencies. He is the managing director of Market Analysis and Planning Ltd.
("MAP"), one of the leading marketing and business strategy consulting firms in
Israel and is recognized as an internationally known expert in international
marketing strategy and new product development.

On the academic side, Prof. Ayal is currently on the first year of a two-year
sabbatical leave from his duties as a senior member of the academic staff, and
a former marketing area chairman, at the Graduate School of Business
Administration, Tel Aviv University. He has also taught at the Graduate Schools
of Management of New York University, UCLA, Rutgers University and the
University of Connecticut.

Prof. Ayal holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree in marketing from
Harvard Business School (1972), an M.B.A., specializing in operations research
from Tel Aviv University (1968) and a BSc. in mathematics and physics from the
Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1963).

He has published six books and numerous articles in leading professional
journals.
