ANNOUNCEMENT ON KEY OPERATING DATA OF APRIL 2023
The enclosed announcement (the "SSE Announcement") was published
by Air China Limited (the "Air China") on the Shanghai Stock
Exchange on 15 May 2023, which contains combined operating data for
April 2023 for Air China and its subsidiaries (collectively, the
"Group"). This announcement enclosing the SSE Announcement is made
by Air China pursuant to Rules 13.09 and 13.10B of the Rules
Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong
Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and the Inside Information
Provisions (as defined in the Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the
Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong
Kong).
The data in the enclosed SSE Announcement was calculated based
on the internal statistics of the Group, which may differ from the
data disclosed in the relative periodic reports. Investors are

ANNOUNCEMENT ON KEY OPERATING DATA OF APRIL 2023
In April 2023, Air China Limited (the "Company") and its
subsidiaries (the "Group") recorded a year-on-year increase and a
month-on-month increase in combined passenger traffic (measured by
revenue passenger kilometers (the "RPK")). Passenger capacity
(measured by available seat kilometers (the "ASK")) recorded a
year-on-year increase of 467.1% and a month-on-month increase of
13.0%. Passenger traffic recorded a year-on-year increase of 630.5%
and a month-on-month increase of 14.7%. Among which, for domestic
routes, passenger capacity increased by 415.5% year on year and
increased by 7.1% month on month, and passenger traffic increased
by 574.4% year on year and increased by 10.3% month on month. For
international routes, passenger capacity increased by 1,417.0% and
increased by 82.7% as compared to the same period last year and the
previous month, respectively, and passenger traffic increased by
1,710.2% and increased by 72.2% as compared to the same period last
year and the previous month, respectively. For regional routes,
passenger capacity increased by 802.0% and increased by 17.6% as
compared to the same period last year and the previous month,
respectively, and passenger traffic recorded an increase of
1,490.3% year on year and an increase of 17.6% month on month. The
passenger load factor was 70.6%, representing an increase of 15.8
percentage points as compared to the same period last year and an
increase of 1.0 percentage points as compared to the previous
month. Among which, the passenger load factor for domestic routes
increased by 17.1 percentage points year on year and increased by
2.2 percentage points month on month, the passenger load factor for
international routes increased by 9.6 percentage points and
decreased by 3.6 percentage points as compared to the same period
last year and the previous month, respectively, and the passenger
load factor for regional routes increased by 28.2 percentage points
year on year and maintained the same month on month.
In terms of cargo operations, cargo capacity (measured by
available freight tonne kilometers (the "AFTK")) decreased by 10.4%
year on year and increased by 15.0% month on month. Cargo and mail
traffic (measured by revenue freight tonne kilometers (the "RFTK"))
decreased by 49.3% year on year and increased by 21.6% month on
month. The cargo load factor was 24.5%, representing a year-
on-year decrease of 18.9 percentage points and a month-on-month
increase of 1.3 percentage points.
In April 2023, the Group introduced two A350 aircraft and
retired two B737-800 aircraft. As at the end of April 2023, the
Group operated a fleet of 896 aircraft, including 343 self-owned
aircraft, 248 aircraft under finance lease and 305 aircraft under
operating lease.

Airlines Co., Ltd. (the "Shandong Airlines")
, have become companies within the scope of the Company's
consolidated financial statements. For more details, please refer

the Shanghai Stock Exchange on March 22, 2023. The Company's
interim announcements and periodic reports will include relevant
