ANNOUNCEMENT ON SEPTEMBER 2023 KEY OPERATING DATA
The enclosed announcement (the "SSE Announcement") was published
by Air China Limited (the "Air China") on the Shanghai Stock
Exchange on 16 October 2023, which contains combined operating data
for September 2023 for Air China and its subsidiaries
(collectively, the "Group"). This announcement enclosing the SSE
Announcement is made by Air China pursuant to Rules 13.09 and
13.10B of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The
Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and the
Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the Listing Rules)
under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter
571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).
The data in the enclosed SSE Announcement was calculated based
on the internal statistics of the Group, which may differ from the
data disclosed in the relative periodic reports. Investors are

ANNOUNCEMENT ON SEPTEMBER 2023 KEY OPERATING DATA
In September 2023, Air China Limited (the "Company") and its
subsidiaries (the "Group") recorded a year-on-year increase and a
month-on-month decrease in combined passenger traffic (measured by
revenue passenger kilometers (the "RPK")). Passenger capacity
(measured by available seat kilometers (the "ASK")) recorded a
year-on-year increase of 191.9% and a month-on-month decrease of
11.9%. Passenger traffic recorded a year-on-year increase of 234.2%
and a month-on-month decrease of 14.7%. Among which, for domestic
routes, passenger capacity increased by 143.7% year on year and
decreased by 14.9% month on month, and passenger traffic increased
by 178.9% year on year and decreased by 16.7% month on month. For
international routes, passenger capacity increased by 936.3% and
increased by 2.2% as compared to the same period last year and the
previous month, respectively, and passenger traffic increased by
1,221.2% and decreased by 3.4% as compared to the same period last
year and the previous month, respectively. For regional routes,
passenger capacity increased by 317.2% and decreased by 15.0% as
compared to the same period last year and the previous month,
respectively, and passenger traffic recorded an increase of 510.7%
year on year and a decrease of 27.8% month on month. The passenger
load factor was 74.2%, representing an increase of 9.4 percentage
points as compared to the same period last year and a decrease of
2.4 percentage points as compared to the previous month. Among
which, the passenger load factor for domestic routes increased by
9.5 percentage points year on year and decreased by 1.6 percentage
points month on month, the passenger load factor for international
routes increased by 15.4 percentage points and decreased by 4.1
percentage points as compared to the same period last year and the
previous month, respectively, and the passenger load factor for
regional routes increased by 21.1 percentage points year on year
and decreased by 11.8 percentage points month on month.
In terms of cargo operations, cargo capacity (measured by
available freight tonne kilometers (the "AFTK")) increased by 42.1%
year on year and decreased by 1.6% month on month. Cargo and mail
traffic (measured by revenue freight tonne kilometers (the "RFTK"))
increased by 16.9% year on year and increased by 6.0% month on
month. The cargo load factor was 34.8%, representing a year-on-year
decrease of 7.5 percentage points and a month-on-month increase of
2.5 percentage points.
In September 2023, the Group introduced one A350 aircraft and
retired two B737 series aircraft and one A330 aircraft. As at the
end of September 2023, the Group operated a fleet of 899 aircraft,
including 378 self-owned aircraft, 221 aircraft under finance lease
and 300 aircraft under operating lease.
Starting from 10 September 2023, the Company has introduced a
new Hangzhou-Dubai route with three flights per week.

have become companies within the scope of the Company's
consolidated financial statements. For more details, please refer
to the "Announcement on the Progress of Significant Matters Planned
by Air China Limited" published by the Company on the website of
the Shanghai Stock Exchange on 22 March, 2023. The Company's
interim announcements and periodic reports will include relevant
fleet information and operational data of Shandong Airlines Co.,
