terminox(TM)d approved for U.S. EPA's emerging technology program
Eligible for program funded under stimulus bill

Catalytic Solutions, Inc. (AIM: CTS and CTSU), the company behind Mixed Phase
Catalyst (MPC ) technology, is pleased to announce that its ECS TermiNOx(TM)D
selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system has been approved by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for inclusion on the National Clean Diesel
Campaign's Emerging Technologies List. The American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act of 2009 (stimulus bill) provides approximately US$20 million in new funding
to support the use, development and commercialization of emerging technologies
that reduce emissions from diesel engines.

TermiNOx(TM)D is a urea-based SCR system designed to reduce nitrogen oxides
(NOx) emissions from exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and non-EGR diesel engines.
TermiNOx(TM)D, which incorporates the Company's SCR catalyst, earned placement
on the Emerging Technologies List by meeting the requirements of the Diesel
Emission Reduction Program Provisions under the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
TermiNOx(TM)D, approved for use in the retrofit of 1998 through 2006 model year
on-road heavy-duty diesel engines, reduces the emission of particulate matter by
25%, carbon monoxide by 85%, hydrocarbons by 85% and nitrogen oxides by
65%. TermiNOx(TM)D will remain on the Emerging Technologies List for one year
with the possible extension of an additional year, during which time the Company
will continue to work with the EPA and/or the California Air Resources Board
(CARB) to complete the important verification process.

About the Emerging Technology Program
The primary goal of the Emerging Technology program is to support early
deployment of new technologies that will reduce diesel emissions from existing
fleets. The program provides an opportunity for manufacturers to obtain feedback
from fleet partners on their technology while it is in-use. Under the Clean
Diesel Emerging Technologies Program, funding is restricted to the use of
emerging technologies that have not been certified or verified by EPA or CARB,
but for which an approvable application and test plan have been submitted for
verification. Only those technologies that have been approved and placed on
EPA's Emerging Technology List, found at
http://www.epa.gov/cleandiesel/prgemerglist.htm, qualify as emerging
technologies for the purpose of funding solicitation.

Commenting on the approval, Charles F. Call, Chief Executive Officer of
Catalytic Solutions, Inc. said:
"We are extremely pleased to receive this product approval from the EPA which
is further recognition of our leadership within the heavy-duty diesel retrofit
market. The combined expertise of our Catalyst Group with that of our Heavy-Duty
Diesel Systems Group has resulted in this innovative new solution for diesel
emission reduction. We are delighted to offer our customers a broad and
increasing range of EPA and CARB verified and approved retrofit products
qualified under various funding programs."
