         Maverick Entertainment Group plc ("Maverick" or the "Company")

                                 Board change


Maverick Entertainment today announces that with immediate effect John Howson is
to step down as Chief Executive at the age of 63. The Board is pleased that John
will remain with Maverick to focus on the completion of the production of the
'Muffin the Mule' animated television series due for delivery to the BBC and its
UK commercial launch in Autumn 2005.

Mike Diprose, previously Managing Director, has been appointed as Chief
Executive with immediate effect.

The Company is in the process of finalising its results for the year ended 31
December 2003. These will be announced in late April 2004. Whilst they will show
an expected loss for the year, the Board remains confident that the continuing
outlook for the Company is positive, with the production of Muffin the Mule on
schedule and on budget and the imminent launch of a new video/DVD catalogue from
the Company's exclusive UK distribution agreement with Nelvana announced in
September 2003.
