                                Board Appointment


SatCom Group Holdings plc, a reseller of mobile satellite communications, today
announces the appointment of Stephen Michael Austin as a Non-Executive Director
of the Company with immediate effect.

Stephen practised corporate law for ten years prior to moving into corporate
finance in 2001. He was a Director of Corporate Finance at Teather & Greenwood
Limited before moving to Libertas Capital Group plc, where he was Head of
Corporate Broking.  Stephen has now formed a specialist corporate broker called
Hybridan LLP.

Commenting on the appointment, Mark White, CEO of SatCom said, "We are delighted
to welcome Stephen to the Board of SatCom and are sure that his combination of
legal and corporate finance skills will be an invaluable addition to the Board."

Stephen Austin, aged 39, currently holds the following Directorships and
Partnerships:

Austin Noyce Limited
Hybridan LLP
