Virtual Internet plc ("Virtual Internet" or the "Company")

Board changes

Following the announcement on 22 February 2002 that the offer by Register.com
(UK) Limited for Virtual Internet has been declared wholly unconditional, the
Company announces the resignations of William Slee, Jason Drummond and Ajay
Chowdhury as directors of the Company with immediate effect.


In addition, Jason Drummond will enter a new employment agreement with the
Company as a part time employee.


The Company also announces the appointment of Richard Forman and Rene Mathis as
non-executive directors and Rajiv Samant as an executive director of Virtual
Internet with immediate effect.


Richard Forman and Rene Mathis are directors of Register.com (UK) Limited.


Save as disclosed above, there are no further disclosures required under
paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
