International stocks trading in New York closed mostly lower on Friday.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts fell 0.4% to 145.28. The European index dived 0.5% to 140.83, the Asian index decreased 0.5% to 169.42, the Latin American index climbed 0.8% to 175.14 and the emerging markets index dropped 0.5% to 281.08.

ADRs of Pharming Group NV on Friday closed 33% higher at $14.96 after the company said the Food and Drug Administration approved Joenja as a treatment for a rare and progressive primary immunodeficiency.
