A Share Issuance by Royal Bank of Canada
TORONTO, Oct. 27, 2015 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones
Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the
S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:
Royal Bank of Canada (TSX:RY)
is expected to complete the merger with City National Corporation
(NYSE:CYN) on November 2, 2015. To
reflect the issuance of common shares as part of the transaction,
the relative weight of Royal Bank will increase in the S&P/TSX
Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX 60, 60 ESG and 60
Capped, the S&P/TSX Capped Financials, the S&P/TSX 60
Fossil Fuel Free and the S&P/TSX Composite Dividend Index after
the close of trading on Friday, October 30,
2015. There will be no relative weight change for Royal Bank
in the S&P/TSX Composite Equal Weight, the S&P/TSX 60 Equal
Weight, the S&P/TSX Equal Weight Diversified Banks, the
S&P/TSX Composite Low Volatility, the S&P/TSX 60 Carbon
Efficient, the S&P/TSX 60 Carbon Efficient Select or the
S&P/TSX Composite Buyback Indices as a result of this share
issuance.
