The Board of Trustees of Hadley is pleased to announce the appointment of Johnjoe Farragher as next President and CEO of Hadley. He succeeds current President Julie Tye upon her retirement in September of this year.

"In the past four years, our member base has grown by over 3000% as more than 100,000 members have joined the Hadley community. Our scalable business model will allow us to serve millions more," said Mark Stephan, chair of the board of trustees.

“Johnjoe's leadership in the education technology sector and his impressive record of generating growth with attendant great user satisfaction is exactly what is needed to achieve our ambitious goals," said Dave Falter, trustee and search committee chair.

Johnjoe, an Evanston, IL native and graduate of Marquette University and Loyola University, founded two successful education technology services for the K-12 marketplace that have led to significant innovation and benefits for teachers and students. Throughout his distinguished career, which includes leadership roles at United Learning, Warner Bros/Discovery Communication, and Defined Learning, Johnjoe has consistently driven transformative growth and advancements in the edtech sector.

"I am truly honored to be appointed as the next President and CEO of Hadley. The work Hadley does to empower individuals adjusting to vision loss is incredibly impactful, and I am excited to lead this dedicated team, continuing to expand our reach and enhance our services. Together, we will strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve and ensure that Hadley's mission continues to thrive,” said Johnjoe.

“The board of trustees extends its heartfelt gratitude to Julie for her leadership positioning Hadley for even greater impact in its second century of service. We wish Julie the very best in retirement,” said Mark Stephan. “We also thank Russell Reynolds Associates, global executive search and advisory firm, for assisting in this incredibly important journey.”
