18 Enero 2006 - 7:00AM
Business Wire
The Samaritan Foundation and Samaritan Pharmaceuticals Inc.
(AMEX:LIV), a developer of innovative drugs, has rescheduled its
concert gala with a special guest performance by five-time Academy
Award-winning composer John Williams and the Boston Pops Esplanade
Orchestra, benefiting the Samaritan Foundation, which was to be
held on March 24, at Wynn Las Vegas. The black-tie gala is
rescheduled to the end of the year to accommodate the possibility
of an acclaimed singer to accompany John Williams, a winner of
Monday night's Golden Globe awards, fulfill financial deadlines, as
well as getting the full benefit of television and radio promotion.
"We want our first event to be perfect, and this gives us more time
to ensure it. We also anticipate the hotel rates for our guests
will be more accommodating in December, rather than costly March
Madness month," according to Dianne Thompson, Senior Vice President
of Public Affairs & Development for the Foundation. Thompson
went on to say, "We especially want to thank everyone's efforts so
far to make this 'Thee Event' and remind you the concert is not
cancelled; only rescheduled. Both John Williams and the Boston Pops
remain committed to performing the concert for the Foundation.
Ticket holders for the March 24th date have the choice of keeping
their tickets for the new date or receiving a refund." For further
information or questions regarding the date change, please contact
the Samaritan Foundation offices at 702-735-7001. The new date of
the concert gala will be announced later this month. About
