               Caledon Resources Plc ("Caledon" or the "Company")

                                Issue of equity

Caledon is pleased to announce that it has agreed to place 11,500,000 new
ordinary shares of 0.1p each at 12.0p per share with institutional investors
raising #1,380,000. This issue of shares represents 5.4 per cent of the enlarged
issued share capital and brings the total of recent fund raising to #2,180,000

Application will be made for 11,500,000 ordinary shares of 0.1p in the Company,
which will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares, to be admitted to
trading on the Alternative Investment Market. Admission will become effective
and dealings are expected to commence at 8:00 am on October 8, 2003.
