1.   The number of shares to be repurchased is 2,000,000 common shares.
2.   The expected buyback amount is about 83.8 billion KRW.
* The actual buyback amount is subject to change, based on the price at the
time of the repurchase
3.   Buyback period : June 2, 2008 to September 1, 2008
4.   The planned buyback aims to stabilize stock prices and to enhance shareholders* value.
5.   Samsung Heavy Industries will buy back shares through Samsung Securities and Korea Investment & Securities.
6.   Samsung Heavy Industries will finance the buyback with cash on hand.
