Deutschland Investment Corporation ("DIC") announces the sale of its entire
shareholding in 1 & 1 Aktiengeselleschaft & Co. KgaA (formerly 1 & 1 Holdings
GmbH) following the successful public offering on the Neuer Markt of shares in 1
& 1 on 23 March 1998.

The sale results in an uplift in DIC's net asset value of DM 20.99m or DM3.5 per
share.

The results of DIC for the six months ended 31 January 1998 are expected to be
released in early May 1998.
