                                 GLEN GROUP plc
                        Launches "Glen Broadband Voice"

Edinburgh based Glen Group plc, the AIM listed IT and communications integration
business, today announces that Glen Communications Limited ("Glen"), has
launched a carrier grade hosted broadband voice service (also known as hosted IP
or VoIP) for the SME market.

During the last twelve months, Glen has rigorously evaluated the available
services and chosen what it believes to be the most stable, reliable and feature
rich service which is built on the BroadSoft TM platform. Broadsoft TM is fast
becoming the platform of choice for many of the World's major telecommunications
carriers and Glen has entered into a reseller agreement with Hosted IP
Communications Limited ("Hipcom") who have invested in the BroadSoft TM
technology for the UK market. The agreement allows Glen to brand and manage the
service to its customers and potential customers under the brand name "Glen
Broadband Voice".

At the same time, Glen has entered into a reseller agreement with Griffin
Internet Limited, a specialised business class ISP, to provide Glen branded
broadband connections (both ADSL and SDSL) with low contention, which are
capable of delivering the high quality of service required for a carrier grade
voice service delivered over broadband. Griffin is a strategic partner of
Hipcom.

Highlights of the Glen Broadband Voice service are:

- Provision of more service features than are available from a
traditional PBX solution, without the need for an in-house PBX
- A reduced up-front investment and a significant reduction in total
cost of ownership versus traditional PBX systems.
- Competitive call rates to many destinations with free on-net calls
            worldwide.
- A single monthly bill for all calls, connectivity, handsets and
            support.
- Complete and seamless integration with IT systems.
- No extensive contract tie-ins
- Scalable
- Fast disaster recovery
- Tailored to fit all environments from small businesses through to
            corporate organisations.

The Chief Executive of Glen Group, Graham J Duncan, commented:

"Delivering voice over broadband networks for business demands a service that is
as good as the most up to date in-house digital switches and as reliable as the
conventional PSTN. Glen Broadband Voice is a carrier grade, robust and feature
rich service which totally satisfies these demands.

We have concentrated on delivering the widest number of features for maximum
benefit to the SME Market and believe we have a real winner with which to build
a significant customer base over time."
