--General Electric Co. (GE) is planning to sell its headquarters in Boston and will return $87.4 million in incentive money given by the state of Massachusetts, The Boston Globe reported Thursday.

--General Electric said it and MassDevelopment, which owns part of the property, will jointly put the site at Fort Point on the market, the report said.

--General Electric will retain offices on the site, but said it will not create close to the 800 jobs it anticipated, the report said.
