Digitalbox plc (AIM: DBOX), the mobile-first digital media business, which owns Entertainment Daily, The Daily Mash and The Tab, has made changes to its Board.

Matthew Armitage is stepping down from his temporary position as Non-Executive Director, and the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Machray to the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Phil brings more than 25 years of experience in the media industry to the Company, having held numerous senior leadership positions at executive and Board levels. Since 2004, Phil has worked for Reach Plc (formerly Trinity Mirror plc), the largest commercial, national and regional news publisher in the UK, as Director of Corporate Development, Chief Operating Officer of Regionals, and Managing Director of Digital Marketing Services.

Phil managed the integration of The Hotgroup Plc into the Trinity Mirror Group in 2005 following its acquisition. He later acted as a non-executive on the boards of several digital and growth joint venture companies. Prior to this, Phil worked for Deloitte LLP as a Director in Assurance & Advisory.
