    Anzon Energy Limited's subsidiary Anzon Australia Limited 
    receives Bidder's Statement from Roc Oil Company Limited


    On 16 June 2008 Anzon Energy Limited ("AEL") and Roc Oil Company Limited ("ROC") announced their intention to merge by way of scheme of
arrangement. In this announcement ROC stated a proposal to make an offer for all the outstanding shares in Anzon Australia Limited ("AZA"),
a company in which AEL has a 52% fully-diluted shareholding, by way of an off market takeover offer ("AZA Takeover Offer").

    ROC has today published a Bidder's Statement in relation to its AZA Takeover Offer. A copy of the Bidder's Statement is available on the
ASX website www.asx.com.au.
