LIMA, Peru--Four business groups have made an offer for assets owned by Spain's Repsol SA (REP.MC) in Peru, newspaper El Comercio reported Monday.

The newspaper said that state-owned oil company Petroleos del Peru, or Petroperu, and two business conglomerates, one owned by Peru's Romero family, and the other by Peru's Intercorp (INTCOBC1.VL), have made offers.

The newspaper said, without citing any sources, that oil company Blue Oil, with offices throughout Latin America, is also making a play for the Repsol assets in Peru.

Petroperu said last week that its board hadn't authorized making any offer to purchase assets of Repsol.

Repsol owns a network of gasoline stations, La Pampilla refinery and a cooking-gas-distribution network in Peru. Repsol has been getting rid of some assets in Latin America and elsewhere.
